RESILIENCE

GO FROM ADVERSITY TO THE CHALLENGE

06/04/2020

The athlete Kilian Jornet constantly adapts to the environment where he is and as a great athlete he quickly makes decisions based on what he finds.

Adapting to the environment and taking on challenges make us move forward as intelligent beings or advanced / evolved in many aspects.

As an example to Kilian Jornet in this case, on a descent a few weeks ago where the snow, rocks, weather are even adverse, he adapts himself with the means at his disposal with his sights set on the final objective, that is, getting to go down the summit as fast and better as possible.

Resilience is the ability to take on challenges and overcome adversities. A resilient person is one who knows how to overcome, remake and even improve with respect to the previous state. Following this premise, how much resilient do we have or are we?

In the face of adversity .... are we able to see it as a challenge and thus find a way to achieve it?

Being resilient could be summed up in this way .... convert what a priori is shown or presented as adversity and sometimes even hostile stimulus ... and there is room for the fact that it can be converted for us as a challenge to overcome. Changing our perspective will make us over-motivate ourselves and see it as something achievable and possible, generating the production of Dopamine (neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and satisfaction) and contributing to positivity.

I invite you to think individually or personally about one thing in the next week that will be (even for a few moments) an adversity ... difficult to achieve ... change your vision and make it appetizing, attractive, ambitious, achievable and satisfying in the end . It can be anything everyday ... after all ... life is made of overcoming small daily and daily challenges ... do we begin to see and achieve them?
